Welcome

Welcome to our Wedding Site! As time goes on and the big day approaches I hope you will follow us on here and I'm certain a few chuckles along the way with a little insite of our "everyday" life.

With Cara being born and raised in Devils Lake, ND and Chad in Windsor, ND its funny how a couple with completely different upbringing and backgrounds can have so much in common. With that being said. We learned through many, many mutual friends of ours living in Fargo, ND and of course with the help of myspace and facebook each of us sparked an interest in one another. Through a mutual friend of ours phone numbers were exchanged. Our first phone conversation was short because Chad was at a Sioux Hockey game in Grand Forks (GO SIOUX!!). He did call me back the next day and asked if I wanted to meet him for a drink. I agreed. We met at the Town Hall in West Fargo, high rolling yes I know! Since then it has become our favorite local hangout. Who knew! After our first "date" we continued to talk on the phone and we did eventually go out for a nice sit down dinner where we could talk and get to know each other a little better. We have been dating ever since then.

After Chad and I had been dating for about 4 months I decided it was time for him to meet the two most important men in my life. Cole and Caedon. I was very cautious. I wasn't going to introduce them to anybody I didn't feel was a good role model for them to be around or somebody that wasn't going to be there for the long haul. The first day of Meeting was on Mother's Day 2008. We took them to the Zoo in Wahpeton.  We had a great time! Lots of laughs and Chad quickly learned that the boys liked quarters after cleaning out his pants pockets. We still chuckle about that to this day. All in all it was a positive experience for everybody.

Our first year was a busy one! With Cara selling the home in Argusville and moving back into Fargo. We thought the time was appropriate to move in together. Getting everybody adjusted to the family life (real shocker for Chad) but he did great! Getting everybody of schedule again lets just say there wasn't much "down" time. Amongst all the busy busy we did manage to find some FUN time! Our first year we went to Las Vegas! We had a great time there! We also experienced a first for both of us, Sturgis. Lots of stories from there which I dont feel are appropriate here but memories Chad and I will share forever. Good Laughs had by all. We also took the Boys to Minneapolis to the Zoo, MN Street Fair and Waterpark of America. Not all in the same weekend but we did enjoy several trips there. We still go often its a nice get-a-way from Fargo.

Chad got to meet my Father about 2 months after we were dating and my Mother and Step Father on our Las Vegas trip. He also got to meet my Brother Chad in November 2009 when he was home from AK. The event has slipped my mind on which family get together it was but we went home to Devils Lake and Chad had the pleasure of meeting my extended family on my Dad's side. Let's just say he was "overwhelmed" with all of the family and trying to keep all the names straight. Which I figured it was going to be like that. To date he's done well and can keep all the Aunts straight!

Chad took the boys and I to meet his family during Windsor Days. That crowd isn't too small either! I still have to ask him who is who. I give hime a lot of credit for doing so well on names with my family. Good Job Muff!
